| Question: What are the SkinClean ingredients? | ||
| Answer:
The heart of our system is a unique Cellulosic Colloid (which we try to explain in the how it works section). We create the colloid from pure plant cellulose. Cellulose is a polymer found in nature, the basic building block of all plants. Wood, grass, and cotton all contain cellulose. Cellulose is a fiber with many purposes. Cotton cloth, and hemp rope are made of fibrous cellulose. Cellulose is made of repeat units of the monomer glucose. This is the same glucose which your body metabolizes in order to live. Because cellulose is built out of a sugar-like monomer, it is called a polysaccharide. We utilize, as a precursor base, plant materials which can come from a variety of sources, such as oats, or corn or legumes, but after these plant fibers have been processed and refined by our procedures, they are then simply classified as "Cellulose," irrespective of which plant was their origin. Here is the listing of ingredients from
our labels.
Weekly Cleanser ingredients: Organic cellulosic colloidal complex, essential oils of juniper berry, proprietary anionic and non-ionic surfactants. A unique organic abradant employing only elemental carbon and hydrogen. 100% from organic origin. Our cleansers do not contain benzoyl peroxide, glycolic acid or salicylic acid. We also recommend not using such products in combination with SkinClean. Our remarkable Micro Cellulosic Colloid is what the breakthrough of SkinClean is all about. The other ingredients we provide are merely to enable the colloidal complex to form when mixed with water, and to enable the resultant mixture of items, which are cleansed from the skin, to be removed effectively. |

| Question: I have adult acne after not having a blemish as a teenager. What's worse is most of the problem is on my back. Can I use SkinClean on my back? | ||
| Answer: SkinClean is effective on any part of your body. Acne is caused by a combination of factors that include bacteria on the skin, oil or sebum produced by the skin cells and plugging of the pores which are really hair follicles. Follow the routine daily and weekly the same as on your face and neck. It is helpful to have someone else to assist in the hard to reach areas. It is important that you do the gentle rotating massage of the SkinClean formula on all affected areas. Also, be sure to wear only freshly laundered clothing daily and never wear items you have worn previously without laundry. |

| Question: What's the skin's acid mantle? | ||
| Answer: Our bodies have a natural covering called the acid mantle. It's composed of fatty acids from our perspiration and amino acids from our skin tissue. This acid mantle fights infection from bacteria that gather on the skin. The pH factor is a measurement of the percentage of hydrogen ions in the acid. The pH scale runs from 0 to 14, with 7 the the neutral point. SkinClean products protect the acid mantle. | ||

| Question: How important is drinking water? | ||
| Answer: Drinking lots of water cannot be emphasized enough. That eight 12 ounces (96 ounces) glasses of water per day, that you have often heard advised is probably a good amount for most people. If you have problem skin you should go beyond that to as high as 128 ounces in a 24 hour period. To that we add getting adequate sleep and eating a balanced diet are parts of the essentials of skin care. Most important is that your body be appropriately hydrated. Many people exist in a state of marginal dehydration and if drinking the amount of water we advise sounds outlandish to you then you have probably developed the habit of drinking very little and you are one of those marginally dehydrated people. If you are adequately hydrating your skin from within, then the normal elimination process of your skin works most efficiently. | ||

| Question: Does SkinClean help get rid of the dark spots where my pimples used to be? | ||
| Answer: Yes, SkinClean will lessen any existing spots more quickly than they would normally take to go away. The formation of dark spots on the skin after the resolution of an acne bump is a condition called post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation. The SkinClean exfoliation will certainly reduce the those dark spots (although they will resolve over time). There is a topical medication hydroquinone which can often hasten the fading. Your dermatologist will be able to prescribe this medication. | ||

||
| Question: What about scars on my face from acne? | ||
| Answer: Certainly you will see improvement, because SkinClean has a remarkable natural abradant system, and is a remarkable exfoliant you will see changes for the better in the surface topography of your skin. Many users report to us that they see vast improvement in diminishment of acne scars. However, severe scarring needs to be specially treated. There are several different types of scars: atrophic (depressed scars), hypertrophic (raised scars) and keloidal (raised and expanded beyond the bounds of the wound). Your dermatologist has treatments available to minimize -- but not cure -- each of these scars. For example, keloids and hypertrophic scars can be injected by the dermatologist with cortisone to flatten them. Atrophic scars can be injected with filler substance, such as collagen, to raise the depression. | ||

| Question: I saw in your instructions where you recommend the use of washcloth while using SkinClean. Isn't that different than conventional routines? | ||
| Answer: Yes, the remarkable SkinClean formulations are activated, and work best when properly presented to the affected area. The washcloth will assure that all components are brought into contact with the pores and interstitial areas of the skin, so that they can penetrate and function into the always fragmenting portions of the stratum corneum (top layer) where bacteria and toxins reside. Good conventional advice is that true that it is important not to pick, squeeze or manipulate acne in any way, however SkinClean works effectively in conjunction with the washcloth, when used in a gentle rotating fashion, activating the formula. | ||
